L. Haley Trantham Day

CREDENTIALS: MSNc, RN, MHA, MBA, SCRN

Haley started her career in healthcare nearly 20 years ago in Dallas, TX. As a native Texan, she completed the critical care internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She has overseen five hospital stroke programs and has led them through certification and recertification. As a critical care RN, her training was in CVICU and neuro trauma ICU. She has served as a charge RN, a preceptor, house supervisor and as a rapid response/code team leader. In pursuing her passion for nursing, she has received her BSN and currently completes her MSN. Her next journey will be a PhD to further her stroke nursing research. She now serves as an administrative stroke director based in Los Angeles.

In addition, she currently serves as COO and vice president of the National Stroke Coordinators Network, Inc. (NSCN), a chair for the Los Angeles Stroke Coordinators Network (LASCN), a member of the American Heart Association (AHA), a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) and a member of the Los Angeles Stroke Society (LASS). She is a stroke advocate for the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and a stroke ambassador for the AHA.
