Nate Hinz

CREDENTIALS: BSN, RN, CEN, CCRN, CFRN, NR-P

Nate Hinze is currently the clinical educator at Air Link II, a rotor-wing critical-care transport service based in Loveland, CO. He has been responsible for transporting thousands of patients from scenes and from community hospitals to tertiary centers. Nate is also responsible for providing education to his own crew of flight nurses and paramedics along with staff in the surrounding hospitals and EMS agencies. Topics that Nate has spoken on include: rattlesnake envenomation, toxicology and toxidromes, neurological and environmental emergencies, cardiogenic shock, right ventricular infarcts, sepsis and hypovolemic shock. Other topics include: mechanism of injury, difficult airway management, submersion injuries and pediatric conditions, including pediatric trauma and medical emergencies. Nate has also presented on burn injuries and how to prepare the acutely injured patient for transport. He can create classes based upon the above topics and also to assist the nurse obtaining the CFRN, CEN, CTRN, CCRN or TCRN as well as the paramedic interested in passing the FP-C.
