Joyce Campbell

CREDENTIALS: MSN, FNP-BC, SCRN, CCRN-K

Joyce has over 30 years of critical care and medical-surgical nursing experience. Joyce taught medical-surgical nursing in an associate degree nursing program for 25 years. Her teaching specialties include neurological, nephrology and endocrine nursing. As an adjunct faculty member, Joyce continues to provide clinical instruction to students who rotate through shock trauma, surgical and neurosurgical intensive care at Erlanger Health System, a comprehensive stroke center. In 2007, Joyce was a chapter writer for a medical-surgical textbook. Joyce has also served as an item writer and test reviewer for the National League for Nursing and the National Council for State Boards of Nursing.

Currently, Joyce is working as a stroke educator for Erlanger Health System, treating over 2,000 strokes annually. Through her work there, Joyce is able to experience firsthand the latest evidence-based practices for treating stroke and traumatic brain injury. Joyce holds a BSN from East Tennessee State University and an MSN from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville; she has also completed post-graduate studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Joyce is an enthusiastic presenter with a passion for neuroscience nursing. She is known for her ability to deliver engaging presentations, stories that drive home important messages and the ability to draw from a wealth of real-life clinical experiences.
