Tara Orgon

Tara Orgon Stamper


Tara Orgon Stamper is an adult nurse practitioner who has worked in the field of neuroscience for over a decade. She has worked across the continuum of the neuroscience population, including traumatic brain injury, brain and spine tumors, complex spine surgeries, functional neurosurgery and stroke. Although Tara has spent time in the long-term acute and rehab settings, she feels most comfortable in the academic hospital setting. Tara has spoken nationally on neuroanatomy and traumatic brain injury as well as neuromuscular and neurodegenerative disorders. She is on the faculty at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Nursing in their nurse practitioner program and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). During her neuroscience career, Tara has served on numerous quality and patient committees, in both personal and professional environments. She is most proud of her involvement with The Wellness Community in Cincinnati, Ohio, a cancer support community where she co-facilitated a brain tumor support group for over two years as well as spearheaded fund-raising opportunities with organizational employees. Tara thoroughly enjoys teaching about neuroscience and welcomes class participation.
