Alex Klacman


Alex is the critical care/trauma service line educator at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital -Dallas. She was the first person globally to lead implementation of the American Heart Association’s innovative Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)® program. She is an experienced critical care nurse, having practiced at the bedside for eight years prior to moving into education. Her interests include best practices in resuscitation education and innovation, care of critically ill cardiology patients and basic/advanced ECG interpretation. Alex is also a part-time instructor for Western Governors University in Utah, teaching pre-licensure nursing students in the simulation laboratory. She has been a presenter for the Dallas chapter AACN and has presented at several state and national nursing conferences, including the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives, the Association for Nursing Professional Development national conference and the American Organization of Nurse Executives national conference. Locally, she was honored as a one of the 2013 Great 100 Nurses of Dallas-Fort Worth and was a 2016 winner of the D Magazine Excellence in Nursing Awards. She has also co-authored publications on the RQI program.
