Julia has been a nurse since 1995 with extensive experience in a wide variety of patient settings including critical-care, medical-surgical, surgical-orthopedic, neuroscience and telemetry nursing, with the most concentration in trauma-intensive care. She received her MSN in nursing education in 2007 and has been a clinical instructor in adult-health and critical-care settings. Julia has also taught medical-surgical nursing, fundamentals, pathophysiology, pharmacology and critical-care nursing in a baccalaureate nursing program. Julia is currently working as an adjunct professor in a BSN program teaching critical-care nursing and still conducts student clinicals in critical-care and ER settings. Julia holds certification as a CCRN-K and is a member of the AACN, AANN and Sigma Theta Tau. She is entering the dissertation phase of her PhD in nursing education. Julia has the passion to share knowledge using humor and stories and loves to break down difficult material, making the information easier to understand.
