Judith Donnelly

CREDENTIALS: BSN, CNOR, RNFA

In her current role at Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital, Judy is a clinical mentor for new nurses and remains passionate about supporting others. Over her more than 30 years as an OR nurse, she has taken the responsibility of many roles, including clinical coordinator for cardiothoracic surgery at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Chicago and as a registered nurse first assistant (RNFA) for the Orthopedic Total Joint program. Her career began at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, as scrub and circulator in an all-RN operating room performing more than 2,000 heart procedures per year.

Judy has been a member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) for her entire tenure as a nurse and has retained her CNOR certification since the inception of the test. She earned her BSN from Purdue University and has recently been a presenter at the Unintentionally Retained Foreign Objects Conference 2016 for Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, MD.
