Kristine Peterson

CREDENTIALS: MS, RN, CCRN, CCNS

Kristine serves as a cardiac clinical nurse specialist at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI, and has over 35 years of experience in critical care nursing as a staff nurse, preceptor, manager, educator and clinical nurse specialist. Kristine received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, and her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. She is a past national president of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) and continues to be involved with AACN on a local and national level. Kristine has presented locally, regionally and nationally on a variety of critical care and cardiac topics and has many publications under her name. She is known for making complex concepts easy to understand. Kristine is a certified facilitator for the Re-Igniting the Spirit of Caring, a relationship-based care workshop. Kristine’s passions include making clear the critical difference nurses make in patient outcomes and celebrating the value that nurses bring to patient care. Kristine is a member of AACN, Sigma Theta Tau, the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists and the American Heart Association.
