Bronwynne Carpico RN, MSN, CCRN

Bronwynne Carpico began her nursing career in an MICU after earning her BSN from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Temple, Texas in 1987. She spent more than a decade in trauma nursing at a Level I Trauma Center in Pittsburgh and then expanded her expertise to include conscious sedation nurse for medical imaging studies, NICU, and SICU before assuming the role of Nurse Manager for an 8-bed ICU in 1999. Bronwynne earned her MSN from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007. During the course of her studies, she was recognized at a White House Reception in 2004 through the National Women’s Leadership Summit for mentoring girls age 13-16 interested in a career in nursing. She was recognized as an AACN-Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter Scholar for 2005, is a past President of the Three Rivers Chapter of AACN and was honored to receive the Excellence in Education Award in the Role of Facilitator, Change Agent, and Consultant by the National Nursing Staff Development Organization in 2005. Bronwynne received the Enid Goldberg Award for leadership and professionalism from the Eta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing, University of Pittsburgh, in 2005. She is currently the Clinical Educator for critical and progressive care units at St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA where she enjoys teaching BCLS, ACLS, and PALS and keeping the staff nurses current in the latest evidence-based practice guidelines. She engages nurses with her sincerity and passion for patient care and her sense of humor.
