Janeane L. Walker MSN, RN, CPN, CCRN

Janeane Walker holds national certification in both pediatrics (CPN) and pediatric critical care nursing (CCRN). She received her BA degree from Hofstra University in New York, her BSN degree from Washington Adventist University in Maryland, and her MSN Degree from the University of Phoenix. Currently she is pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing at Marymount University. Janeane has spoken nationally and locally on various subject matters including Family Presence During Resuscitation, Congenital Heart Disease and Traumatic Brain Injury.

 

Janeane Walker serves as the Pediatric Professional Practice Specialist at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC for the Cardiac and Pediatric Critical Care Units. Currently she also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Edyth T. James Department of Nursing at Washington Adventist University.

 

Janeane enjoys teaching and learning on many topics in critical care.  Janeane’s passion for education is evident through her energy, presentation style and her ability to engage the audience.  Janeane enjoys the challenge of the bedside, dedicating herself to helping others in the care of the critically ill child.  Janeane considers it a privilege and honor to share her expertise and experiences with other healthcare professionals.
