Mary has 15 years of clinical and educational experience working in telemetry, progressive care, and critical care step down as well as experience as a telephone triage nurse for a large HMO. Mary obtained a BSN from the University of Delaware in 1985 and a MS in Nursing from Walden University in 2006. Since 1999, she has worked in various roles related to staff development and nursing education.
As an educator, Mary is dedicated to high quality learning opportunities and is known for her skills in program development and evaluation. She is a member of the National Nurses Staff Development Organization (NNSDO) and is one of the authors of the Core Curriculum for Staff Development (3rd Ed.) published by the NNSDO. Mary is ANCC board certified in Nursing Professional Development and is currently the Assistant Director of Organizational Learning and Research at St. Mary’s Hospital in Leonardtown, Maryland.
