Mary Kobel Lamonte RN, BSN, MPH, CNOR

Mary Kobel Lamonte received her nursing diploma from New York City's Beth Israel School of Nursing in 1977, her BSN from Hunter College in 1979, and her Master's in Public Health from Hunter College, New York City in 1990. She has 33 years of nursing experience which includes med-surg, CCU, ER & OR. For the past 26 years she has been in the perioperative setting as a staff nurse and clinical instructor. She is a certified perioperative nurse and is presently a staff nurse at an outpatient surgery center in Stamford, CT. Mary is an ACLS and a BCLS Instructor. She has served as Vice President & Program Committee Chairperson of the New York City chapter, as a member of AORN's national Continuing Education Approval Committee and as an AORN Journal Reviewer. Mary has spoken at conferences locally and regionally on many perioperative topics, including intraoperative critical care, treatments for ventricular arrhythmias, precepting, care of the neonate and CNOR certification. She collaborated with National AORN to develop an on-line version of the CNOR Certification Prep course and has been presenting Prep for CNOR courses for 17 years.
