Melissa Allen MSN, NNP-BC, RNC-OB, RNC-MNN, C-EFM

Melissa has a combined 22 years of clinical and instructional experience in all areas of maternal-neonatal nursing.  She received her Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. As previous faculty for an Associate Degree Nursing Program, Melissa has taught maternal-child nursing in the classroom and clinical setting. She has traveled extensively, as an advanced practice neonatal nurse (NNP), and therefore had the opportunity to work in a variety of maternal-infant environments. As the creator of Neo-Productions, Melissa has developed and presented multiple continuing education lectures for students and staff, including maintaining her instructor status in the Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and STABLE Programs. Melissa holds three certifications from the National Certification Corporation (NCC). She is certified, as a registered nurse, in Inpatient Obstetrics and Maternal Newborn Nursing and holds her board certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Nashville, Tennessee is home for Melissa, where she currently holds a full-time NNP faculty position at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
